Part 1 of a six part series. This asks the question, “Can my thoughts about reality ever be absolutely true” and “Can they ever mirror a pregiven reality?” What is non-conceptual awareness revealing about what we call “reality?”
Part 2 Beyond Metaphysics (what is metaphysics and the myth of the given?)
Part 2 of a six part series. Brief pointing to non-dual realization and the freedom inherent in it. Then this question: “If there can never be proof of something existing independent of our concepts about it, what does this say about our pointers to non-duality?” We find conflict “after” nondual realization when we continue believing that thought can deliver or mirror reality or truth. What is “metaphysics” and “the myth of the given?”

Part 3 Beyond Metaphysics
Part 3 of a six part series. The experiment with eight booths and the question, “What is reality?” What is this telling us about science, religion, culture, and even the way we talk about nonduality and other forms of spirituality?

Part 4 Beyond Metaphysics (metaphysics often sneaks into nondual talk)
Part 4 of a six part series. We don’t live in a nonconceptual void. Therefore, the myth of the given, the myth that “my thoughts are absolutely true,” is vital to the way we speak to each other about reality. When concepts appear, there is always the possibility of engaging in metaphysics, which is basically dreaming and calling it truth.

Part 5 Beyond Metaphysics (Taking belief out of nonduality)
Part 5 of a six part series. Taking the religion out of nonduality. In taking into account postmodern findings, has nondual realization been destroyed? Is it still available. YES! But it isn’t a pregiven reality. It is a seeing available (normally) only through taking injunctions and looking into your present experience to see whether separation is real.

A message from Scott Kiloby…
Hello Friends:
This series came after years of receiving many, many emails of people confused about how one message of nonduality can seem so different than another message, or how one teacher’s interpretation can seem so different than another’s. I shared the same confusion. I’m trying best to explain in this series how this confusion was resolved for me.
For anyone interested in sitting through that, I would like some feedback if you would be so kind. Here are the questions I would like you to answer if you are interested.
1. Is this series clear?
2. Did I explain what I mean by “myth of the given” and “metaphysics” clearly?
3. What do you think the central point of the series is? Can you explain it in 30 words or less in an email to me.
4. Did you benefit from this series? If so, please explain.
5. Did it clear up any issues for you regarding how the message of nonduality is often delivered in sometimes conflicting ways or how other forms of spirituality seem to conflict with one another? Please explain.
I will read each response, but I may or may not respond back to you. The reason I am asking for this feedback is that I want to be clear on these topics, but they are somewhat confusing for some people. Please let me know, if you are interested, what you thought about this series by answering these questions. Of course, if anyone doesn’t want to respond or answer these questions, that is perfectly ok.
Much love, Scott
